Oktoberfest 2011, Longwood University’s annual celebration of school and class spirit, was held Friday and Saturday, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. This year’s theme was “Welcome to Farmvegas!” Oktoberfest is sponsored by the Geist Chapter of Mortar Board.

Rock the Block 2011, a block party for faculty/staff, students and the Farmville community, was held Friday, Sept. 16, at Longwood Landings at Midtown Square. This was the third annual Rock the Block, which is a partnership between the university and the Town of Farmville.
